This past week, a community of friends in New Brunswick have been testing a bunch of soaps--The Everything, which smells like Fantasia ( get it? opposite of The Nothing); Storm of Opal, a chaotic blend of lemon, fennel and rosemary; Moon Sugar, made with local honey, vanilla and sourced champa (this is a revamped recipe after three fails); and Unnoticed Fairy, with its powerful grapefruit, basil and tobacco leaf-- picture a fairy resting on a grapefruit, smoking a pipe with basil growing in the background. BUT Recovery Gnome is my favorite--an aromatic fusion of land, sea and sweet florals! Lots of healthy healing ingredients in this soap.
